Israel Mbonyi, also known as Mbonyicyambu Israel, born on May 20, 1992, is a Rwandan gospel singer, performer, and songwriter. Hailing from DR Congo but raised in Rwanda, his musical journey began in childhood, particularly fostered while being part of a church choir.

In 2021, it was planned that Israel Mbonyi would participate in a journey to Israel in a program called ‘Twende Jerusalem,’ aiming to strengthen the relationship between that country and Rwanda, as well as to promote cultural exchange and the art of music. However, this journey did not take place due to challenges related to the Covid-19 pandemic. On May 20, 2022, Israel Mbonyi held his second concert, after the first one that he was supposed to hold in Israel together with Avraham Tal. The concert was held at Ariel Sharon Park in the outskirts of the city of Tel Aviv, an area dedicated to music lovers, and most of the tickets were sold out almost a week before the event.

During this concert, Israel Mbonyi continued to sing a song from the Gospel music genre, but in the Kinyarwanda language. He performed it together with Avraham Tal.

Apart from this song, Israel Mbonyi also included in his performance the song ‘One love’ by Bob Marley, a song that transcends borders and has been a part of bringing people together. However, besides these, this artist sang a total of 15 songs in collaboration with the musicians of Avraham Tal.
